It’s a new day in the vehicle service contract industry. Thanks to the efforts of the VPA and our member organizations, the past concerns you may have heard about no longer apply to today’s vehicle protection services industry.

In recent years, VPA initiatives have netted big gains for consumers, service contract providers and the industry itself. Consumer complaints continue to drop dramatically as more and more providers adopt VPA standards. According to the Missouri Attorney General’s office, industry complaints dropped from the #1 slot in 2009 to #10 in 2010 – a significant decrease that is indicative of trends that VPA members are reporting throughout the nation.

The VPA’s efforts are creating an industry environment in which consumers are protected and treated fairly.
