Members Standards of Conduct

As an active participant in efforts to promote ethical business practices in the vehicle service contract industry, the VPA has created Standards of Conduct – a uniform, ethical code that ensures consumers are treated fairly and honestly.

VPA Standards of Conduct are not intended to replace federal and/or state regulations. In fact, there are many areas in which our Standards exceed regulatory requirements. From deceptive advertising to customer complaint procedures, our Standards of Conduct cover a range of topics that are vitally important for providers and consumers.

Compliance with VPA Standards of Conduct is mandatory for all VPA members. However, we encourage our members and other service contract providers to implement measures beyond VPA Standards to create an exceptionally high quality consumer experience.
